The base model starts strong with a 6.4-liter heavy-duty HEMI engine, which produces 410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque and can tow up to 18,210 lbs., but you can also upgrade to the 6.7-liter I6 Cummins turbo diesel engine or the 6.7-liter I6 Cummins HO turbo diesel engine for more power. It has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,700 lbs.

The engine has heavy-duty cooling to protect it from overheating, an electronically controlled throttle for better fuel efficiency, and selective catalytic reduction to reduce the spread of toxic emissions. It’s paired with the Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Laramie also has the high-output Cummins diesel engine and transmission, producing the same specifications.
Limited Longhorn
The Limited Longhorn has a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine, which produces 370 horsepower and 850 lb.-ft. of torque and can tow up to 20,200 lbs. You can upgrade to the high output option to increase horsepower, torque, and towing capacity. You can also add automatic-leveling rear air suspension to improve handling on unpaved roads and a transmission oil cooler for less wear and tear. The available transfer case skid plate protects the underbody from rocks and debris.
Limited
The Limited also has the Cummins diesel engine, which produces the same horsepower and torque. It can tow up to 19,870 lbs. You can upgrade to the 50-gallon fuel tank to minimize trips to the gas station.
